Concours Season.
Hey all,
Summer is in full swing, and with it comes all those great summer auto events. It seems not a single weekend can go by that I’m not out and about sharing my passion with other die hard gear heads. There are several great local concours events coming up soon, the first of which is The Hawk at Road America. This is an event that is absolutely not to be missed, as it features classic and vintage makes from all different makes and models, in both street and race car trim! Road and Track hosts the event, beginning on Friday July 13th and wrapping up on Sunday the 15th. For a complete schedule of events, check out the Road America website.
The Botham Vineyard concours comes next on Sunday August 12th, which takes place right on the grounds of the vineyard outside Barneveld, WI. This fun filled and relaxing day features live music, plenty of food and (of course) wine, and over 150 rare vehicles from many different eras. The featured marque for 2012 will be Cadillac. All of the proceeds from the event are given to the local Humane Society. For all the event info please see the Botham Vineyards website.
Only two weeks after the conclusion of the Botham event we will have the prestigious Milwaukee Masterpiece, which takes place right on the lakefront for August 25th and 26th. The Masterpiece is a breathtaking event that features over 150 vehicles brought in from all over the US, Canada, and Europe. This years features marques will be Mercedes and Fiat. Hot on the heels of the Masterpiece is the Super Cars & Coffee Concours in Lake Mills, WI, taking place on Sunday September 2nd. This event draws a surprising crowd, with last year bringing in 174 cars! It takes place in downtown Lake Mills surrounding the city commons and is a wonderful relaxed atmosphere to bring the whole family to.
